11th August 2022
A Public Meeting was held on Wednesday 17th August at 5.30 pm in Droxford Church.
DEANERY PROPOSALS
Approximately 60 parishioners from Droxford, Meonstoke and Exton assembled to make our voices heard regarding the future mission, ministry and finance of our Deanery. The Agenda, Deanery Proposals, and Notes from the meeting are available below.
Bishop Jonathan has set out his Vision and Roadmap. Our feedback is required by early September. Bishop Jonathan challenges us to refresh our commitment to discipleship and to recognise that the most important issue for us to grapple with is “our confidence in Jesus and in each other’. In particular, he asks us to create opportunities for the young to have a life-enhancing encounter with Jesus Christ; and to provide Anna chaplaincy for older people in every parish or benefice.
The proposals for our Deanery are available here (Deanery Parish Re-ordering Proposal). Our planning has to take account of what is happening across the Diocese. This may require us to adjust the framework of our inter-benefice relationships.
