Churchill in Droxford in June 1944

Did you miss the Droxford D-Day 70 talks earlier this summer?

Now you have a second chance…

Ben Stoneham has kindly agreed to give his talk on Churchill’s visit to Droxford on Sunday 21st September.  Churchill lived in his special train in the days leading up to D-Day in June 1944, and conducted important correspondence and meetings with Eden and de Gaulle, while staying in Droxford. Ben’s talk will explore what Churchill did, and who he met during the three days he was in Droxford.  This fascinating account was very well received and we are delighted to offer another opportunity to hear it – click here for more information on the talk.

Tickets (£5) are available from the Droxford Post Office. Doors open at 6.00pm, for 6.30 start in Droxford Church, The Square, Droxford. Refreshments will be available.

Dont forget that the Droxford D-Day 70 Exhibition is still running in the Church – more information is available on our Facebook page
