FODC Social Media Policy

Friends of Droxford Church – Social Media Policy

Our social media exists to support our mission, to maintain and celebrate St Mary & All Saints Church, keep the Community Hub of which Wilfrid’s Café is a part of, open and welcoming, and promote community and heritage activities.

We follow Charity Commission guidance to ensure all our online activity supports our charitable purposes and treats our community with respect.

We use our social channels to:

  • Share factual, timely updates on the café, heritage projects, and events
  • Invite community participation through volunteering and attendance
  • Celebrate our collective achievements and history

We do not use social media to:

  • Share information we cannot confirm as accurate
  • Engage in public arguments or personal disputes
  • Disclose confidential information or internal discussions
  • Post or allow content that is defamatory, harmful, or unrelated to our mission

How We Communicate:

  • Major updates are published first on our website, then shared on our official social channels
  • Sensitive or personal matters are handled privately
  • Questions raised online will be answered when we can do so factually and respectfully
  • Comments that breach these standards may be removed to maintain a safe and constructive space for everyone

We welcome open, respectful conversation, and ask everyone engaging with our pages to follow these same principles.
