Pyrenees Cycle Challenge – the Conclusion

John Jack’s Pyrenees Challenge is now concluded and donors are invited to complete their pledges at the MyDonate website:

Challenge Conclusion – John Jack

Following the treacherous and unseasonal weather in the Pyrenees in June – see my account in my July posting below – I completed the challenge in July when I cycled the Magnificat Sportive and the Mega Meon Sportive. 15,000 feet of ascent was achieved in four days – two in France and two in UK:

Magnificat Sportive – Newbury, 14th July 82 miles and 4189ft ascent [completed in 6 hours 13 minutes]

Mega Meon Sportive – Waterlooville, 28th July. 80 miles/4409ft ascent

Total sponsorship stands at £2,080 and donations can still be given online at “mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/johnjack1”.

A couple of photos from the UK events can be viewed in the Gallery–  ‘on Inkpen Beacon’ in the Magnificat and ‘descending Portsdown Hill’ in the Mega Meon.
